The city of Las Tablas is advancing in its preparations to once again become the epicenter of the country's carnival, one of the most anticipated festivities for nationals and visitors, which each year boosts the local and national economy. As part of this organization, the Municipality of Las Tablas has started the process of granting permits for informal vending stalls that will operate during the carnival days. According to the district mayor, Noé Herrera, these permits will be processed from the present date until next February 12, with the projection of authorizing over 100 stalls throughout the entire carnival route. The mayor explained that the permits cover various strategic points in the city, including Porras Park and nearby areas, with the aim of guaranteeing adequate order, security, and better conditions for both vendors and the public attending the events. Herrera highlighted that the municipality has a direct responsibility in the organization of the carnival, not only in terms of commercial permits but also in the strict compliance of the mayoral decree, especially concerning the schedules for fireworks displays, the performance times of the 'tunas' (musical groups), and other current regulations. In this sense, he noted that a maximum time for fireworks has been established, which must be respected, considering the community that participates and enjoys the show. However, he indicated that the municipal office maintains an open attitude towards dialogue, as long as it is held within the framework of respect and the established regulations. "We know the sacrifice and dedication that the 'tunas' and the community make to offer a high-level free show, so now, during the carnival, it is fundamental that the mayoral decree is respected," expressed the mayor.
